Safety

Wild animals can and do wander through the Camp, sometimes stopping to graze for a while.

Animals that might wander into camp include zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, hyena, giraffe and very occasionally, elephant and lion. There is always a number of watchmen who patrol the camp at night and their number one job is to keep you safe. You will always be accompanied by a watchman when moving around the camp at night time.

Our Location

Nyota Luxury Tented Camp is situated in a prime location in Seronera, in the middle of the Serengeti. To reach Nyota, you can either fly in (from Zanzibar, Dar, Kilimanjaro or Arusha) or drive (safaris normally start in Arusha). Whilst the drive time is significant (approximately 7 hours), it is usually broken up by a visit to one of the other National Parks, or the incredible Ngorongoro Crater. Driving through Ngorongoro Conservation Area is spectacular and well worth it.
Nyota Luxury Tented Camp is a 30 minute drive from Seronera Airstrip and easy to find! The Orangi river meanders along the Camps’ borders, attracting a wide variety of wildlife. Seronera is an excellent location to stay throughout the year and there is always plenty to see, hear and experience. It is possible to take a Guided walk down to the river to look for wildlife and listen to the gentle babbling of the river. A perfect spot to experience the magic of the Serengeti!
